PLASTIC REVERSE ENGINEERING

For plastic, aluminium or sheet metal parts produced using worn out tolling when part geometry is not  available. Parts are scanned on contact type touch probes to generate 3D point cloud data. This data is further processed on styling application software to generate "A class" 3D surfaces.

3D MODELLING ON VARIED PLATFORMS

All facilities for creating solid and surface 3D engineering models are available in-house. these models are further used for styling, tolling, FEA analysis & CNC programming. The native data in all formats ( customer's may have Catia, Unigraphincs, Solidworks, Ideas & ProE) is used for further work and delivered back on the application platform preferred by the customer.

PRODUCT RE-ENGINEERING

HOYT identifies key processes and parameters, product design intent and generates product component data. This data includes geometry modelling, design FMEAs, process FMEAs, performance simulation & digital prototyping of design and manufacturing processes.


 

CONVERSION OF SHEET METAL / DIE CAST PARTS TO PLASTIC

Many plastics processors have been using HOYT services to convert the existing Pressure die-casting or sheet metal parts into re-engineered plastic parts.HOYTs cross functional team, having knowledge of PDC / Sheet metal processing, works with the Plastics analysis team to generate appropriate part topology which is analyzed further to simulate the functional needs of the parts which include the loading conditions, heat, vibrations & impact.
